My Journey Continues

Recently I have updated my website as it was bugging me. It did not feel quite right. I am happy with my new changes, but I am anxious to continue to work on it. I get lots of ideas from browsing around other sites. There are a slew of creative people out there, it is very inspiring!
I've recently discovered a forum on the Illustration Friday website that lists lots of portfolio sites and their cost (though some are outdated). I have been going down this list and signing up for the free ones that seem worthwile... I guess you never know. I am anxious to see if I get anything from them, but plan to invest in a more beneficial one such as childrensillustrators.com.

My choice

I have been slacking with my posts & with IF. My husband dislocated and fractured his right ring finger. It was rather gross! That caused a whirlwind of challenges to get through. Time to get back on track...

I chose my postcard, thanks for the thoughts below! I went with the cat on the moon illustration because I think it captures my illustration personality the most. I believe it is a bit more versatile for sending to variety of companies too. :) My next goal is to get a decent color printer for printing samples of my work.

Decisions Decisions

I am going to have postcards made (finally!) to send out to publishing companies, but I can't decide which image to go with. Can anyone help me out? Advice is always greatly appreciated :)

My Journey Begins

Welcome! I am beginning my journey to become a full time children's illustrator. I plan to do a little bit each day towards my goal and keep track of it here. I am constantly reading about other artists and learn so much from them. I hope to share what I learn. Any advice from others is greatly appreciated!
So far I have put together my website (
www.SerendipityStudiosInk.com), set up a basic account on portfolios.com (www.portfolios.com/SaraHubbard), and last but not least, started my creative blog.
